Changing Banner Vendors
I’ve been using Fastclick since 2001 and apart from them disabling 468/720 banners on my account on 2002, have been very pleased with them. High fill rates, quality advertisers and punctial payouts. Been using Google also for leaderboards, and have no complaints with them either.
But starting last month, I’ve noticed a decline in banner revenues. Now, at first I thought it was due to the server move and retiring the old Nuke site. But not the case. Seems to be just that the inventory over at Fastclick is diminishing. Could be seasonal, could be due to their being aquired by ValueClick. Either way, I’ve moved to Casale Media for many banner campaigns. They’re Canadian but still pay in USD. Figure I’ll try them for a month and compare my stats and revenues to FastClick and Google and see who wins. Let you know…
