Interesting Nuke/IPB Observation

So the old Belchfire.net site (v.1) was PHP-Nuke with DYNMETAKEYS 1.1.2 and Googletap setup. When I went live with Belchfire v.2, I chose Invision Power Board, with the lofi mod and seo-friendly URLs enabled. I also modified much of the themes gallery for seo-friendly URLs using my experience with mod_rewrite (used to Googletap Nuke).

So both sites ran in tandem for exactly 1 year. What I observed through my webstats was that Google indexed the html pages on the Nuke site but few images. Google Images indexed the images on the IPB site but few from the Nuke.

Just an interesting observation that I can’t explain a reason for. So if you happen to have or are considering setting up an online gallery using Nuke or IPB, something to consider…
